is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket yet provides a rugged and reliable mobile data collection terminal for your tough
field computing applications. CN2 offers features and functionality commonly found in terminals much larger and more costly.
With the ergonomic design, the CN2 allows for single handed operation, and the pocket sized form factor making it possible
to carry almost anywhere data collection is required.
The CN2 combines the power and speed of the Intel® XScale
TM processor with Microsoft's® CE .NET operating system to create a
perfect balance of real-time data collection performance with full-shift power management functionality.
The CE .NET operating system minimizes memory requirements, reduces complexity and allows the application developer to
completely customize the user interface that is appropriate or desirable. CE .NET also supports mainstream application
development tools for starting from scratch or upgrading existing applications. For client applications, the forward-looking
.NET Compact Framework and Visual Studio .NET development tools will minimize any modifications between different .NET
devices that might otherwise be required.
The thin profile of the CN2 is equally suited as a management tool as well as a rugged data collection computer for the
mobile worker in mission-critical data collection applications. The user accessible secure digital card slot provides more
than sufficient data storage and back up capabilities of today's demanding applications. A superior color touch screen display,
with an industry standard ¼ VGA (240 x 320) size provides user-friendly navigation in all lighting conditions.
The CN2's WiFi® certified 802.11 b/g radio, including a Cisco Certified Extension certification, ensures consistent performance
by providing the best available wireless network throughput and reliability. Wireless security features of the CN2 are second
to none with support for the highest level of protection using traditional WEP and the new Wi-Fi WPA standard. The CN2 complies
fully with 802.1x standards including the Windows standard EAP-TLS and PEAP, EAP-TTLS and the compatibility with many existing
networks with LEAP support. This attention to wireless data security means the user can confidently exchange data wirelessly
regardless of location.
With the combination of ergonomic design, remote management capabilities, small form factor, aggressive integrated linear bar
code scanning, color display and robust CE .NET operating system, the CN2 is ideal for mission critical applications that
require a rugged mobile handheld terminal in a convenient pocket form-factor.
